Autumn Concours
A second chance this year to show off your pride & joy and maybe take home an award. There will be an award for best visitor, so if you're not a branch member or you just want to bring along a friend on their bike who isn't a member, there's still a chance to take home the best visitor award and you get to meet the rest of us at the same time. As this is a bit later in the year there will not be a BBQ, but instead a buffet will be provided inside the club. Start time 12.00 at 44 Club, Spring Rd, Wolverhampton WV4 6LQ. Just behind Costa Coffee. Look forwards to seeing you all.

PPH Ride-In / Posh Garage Open Day
Our good friends John & Sonia Young are having another open day at their home 'Pottal Pool House' and the 'Posh Garage' on the edge of Cannock Chase from 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Although there is sure to be a good selection of Triumph and BSA triples in attendance, there is usually a reasonable selection of bikes of all makes and models riding in during the day. Of course John's own collection is one that anyone even slightly interested in the Triumph & BSA triples must see at least once and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. Even if you've been before I defy you to visit again and leave without learning, or seeing something new for the first time. John's extensive archive will also be available to view for anyone interested in any of the technical stuff including original drawings and notes from the Triple era and much more. There will be free refreshments and free food, but as always the charity bucket will be there to receive donations for the usual charity (formerly the Donna Louise Trust). John & Sonia always cover expenses out of their own pockets, so anything that goes in the bucket is guaranteed to go to the charity. We will meet at the Esso EG Gateway on Northbound A449 Stafford Road, Wolverhampton near it's junction with M54 junction 2. The post code is WV10 7ER. We will meet at 10.30 a.m. to leave at 10.45 for the short 10 mile ride to John's house. Currently there are no plans to ride on elsewhere after, but that could change if it happens to be a particularly nice day.

Pie & Chip Night
On Tuesday 18th October at 20.00 hrs (8 o'clock in old money) we will be having a pie and chip supper evening. We will supply the hot pies, mushy peas and gravy and collect chips from the chip shop down the road from the club. All food will be provided by the branch, i.e. IT'S FREE! All branch members and guests are invited and very welcome to come along and have your supper with our compliments. If you haven't been for a while, or are a new member and were just waiting for an excuse to come and visit now is your chance. This is a free event, BUT in order to make sure no one is disappointed, if you would like to come could you please let myself via messenger or email, or Gary who is usually at the club on Tuesday nights know that you plan to be there so we have enough for everyone. All pies used will be 'Pukka-Pies'. If you have a preferred pie i.e. Steak & Kidney, Minced Beef & Onion or Chicken & Mushroom would you please also give your preference at the same time. All pies will be used up while they're hot, so if you don't turn up until 21.00 hrs and there's nothing left don't be surprised. Look forwards to seeing you, Andy. aandylight@aol.com

Quiz Night & Buffet
Something a bit new for us to try and just for fun, although I may be tempted to come up with a token prize for the winning team. Stephen and I are still fine tuning this one, but will more than likely be teams of four answering questions on a number of different themed rounds and no, they won't all be about bikes. Feel free to bring wives, husbands or partners with you and we'll try and make it fun and interesting. Just incase you're not a big quiz person there is a little more incentive in the form of a free Buffet to get stuck into. It would be handy to know numbers in advance, so would you please indicate if interested.
