If you weren't at Trifest Somerset 2019 then you missed a cracker of an event. There were well over 200 attendees filling the venue and all had an excellent time. So much so that Trifest Somerset is again being held in 2020 from the 1st May to 4th May. Places are already being booked at St Audries bay so get in quick.
If you want to get in on the fun, you need to get in touch with St Audries Bay Holiday Club on 01984 632515 and mention Trifest Somerset. We haven't confirmed prices as yet (the earlier you book the cheaper it will be), and we are just beginning to plan what's happening over the weekend, so keep an eye on the Trifest website.
The 2019 event stated on Friday evening with, as usual, a general get together and disco. The Club's merchandise supplier was on site and whilst doing a steady trade all weekend had so much fun that he has decided to attend other Club events just as a participant.
There were three 70 mile runs arranged. One was "led" by Somerset Branch and included a visit to Total Triumph in Taunton. The second run, arranged by Editor Steve, was left for people to make their own way with a mixed run down the coast taking in Porlock Hill, over to Lynmouth, and returning over the beautiful roads of Exmoor. The third run also passed through Taunton and was a run from a couple of years ago which again mixed the high and low roads of Exmoor.
Steve, with the help of Sue McKie from B'ham and Wolves, made out the 70 year certificates which were handed out after Sunday’s Concours.
This year's Concours included two extra categories celebrating the Thunderbird's 70th and Speed Triple's 25th birthdays. The whole event went extremely well with a noisy but happy invasion by those incorrigible Yorvik members. There'a a rumour that they'll be back next year in force.
