With a price of £10,695 Triumph's new 450cc MotoX bike will be available to buy from selected dealers in February 2025. The RC stands for Ricky Carmichael as it features a range of components and details that Ricky himself has selected - including the graphics and his iconic number 4.
The Triumph 450cc engine debuts in the All-New TF 450-RC Edition. Featuring a range of components and details hand selected by motocross legend Ricky Carmichael, it stands as a tribute to Ricky’s unique insights and years of racing expertise, ensuring that the TF 450-RC is crafted for high performance, rider comfort and design. The chassis is an all aluminium one designed to be strong but not heavy.
The Single Cylinder SOHC engine is actually 449.5cc (95mm bore x 63.4mm stroke) and has 13.1:1 compression ratio. The clutch is a steel Wet Multi-Plate Belleville Spring type with Hydraulic Actuation powering a 5-speed transmission. The wheels are 21"x1.6" front and 19"x2.15" rear with 80/100-21 and 110/90-19 tyres. The front gets KYB 48mm Coil Spring Forks with Compression/Rebound Adjustment and 310mm Travel whereas the rear has a KYB Coil with Compression Adjustment (H and L Speed), Rebound Adjustment, and 305mm Travel. Brakes are Brembo Twin 24mm Piston, 260mm Disc front and Brembo Single 26mm Piston, 220mm Disc rear.
Dimensions are 836mm width, 1270mm height, 960mm seat height, 1492mm wheelbase, 27.4° rake and 116mm trail, with a tank capacity of 7L andd a wet weight of 108.6Kg.
The bike has a Wi-Fi comms module allowing you to change engine tunes via the MX Tune Pro phone app - and there is a special Ricky Carmichael tune available.
