The bands for Trifest Somerset 2018 have been confirmed for the Saturday and Sunday nights - Rough Justice and Sarah Randle. Trifest Somerset is hugely popular and will soon be fully booked but there are still places available so if you would like to come along, now is the time to book your place.
Saturday 5th May’s entertainment is a Great 5 piece Bristol based band "Rough Justice" - don’t be confused by other bands of a similar name - last played in front of a TOMCC crowd in Keynsham, Bristol in 2006. They are a polished band performing anything from Thin Lizzy to Bad Company and Queen and any 1980’s stadium rock requiring long hair. Jeremy Clarkson who hasn’t got long hair is a fan of these guys, just don’t ask the drummer!
Sunday is a time to regroup having partied hard for 2 nights. Sunday’s entertainment is Singer “Sarah Randle” she has a wonderful voice. For one night only in the Sundowners Bar up close and personal, if you like post modern swinging jazz/ragtime including a mix of Caro Emerald, Paloma Faith and Madonna covers. Sir Paul McCartney invited Sarah to sing at Linda McCartney’s funeral in 1998. She was spotted by Chris Rea and having written 9 songs for her assisted in releasing the Album “The Sparrow” in 2003. Sarah toured with Joan Armatrading. I hope she will sing some of Chris Rea’s fine penned soft soulful rock songs. She has lived in St Audries bay for 40 yrs and I’m really pleased that she has agreed to perform for us.
And let’s not forget The Local DJ Ian, he loves your sarcastic humour (it wouldn’t be St Audries without him).
Ride outs provided by Somerset & Dorset and a warm welcome by Taunton Triumph is assured if popping for a pit stop, do ask about the chocolate biscuits.
