Triumph have announced on Facebook that as well as the new Thruxton RS, a third TFC model will also be announced in the UK on the 5th November at 8:30 am (GMT). All we know is that it will have pure unparalleled specification, performance, and style. Oh, and carbon fibre - there will be carbon fibre!
It looks fairly obvious from the teaser picture that the new TFC model will be the Bonneville Bobber. That design of side panel is fairly unique in the range with only the Bobber and the Speedmaster using something that looks the same. There is no mention about where the reveal will be, though we're sure the dealer network has been informed and they will be inviting certain of their customers.
So, what can we expect? Well going on previous models we can be sure that the engine will have more power and torque - perhaps with the torque coming in at lower revs and being more consistent throughout the rev range. Obviously there will be carbon fibre side panels and probably carbon fibre mudguards (fenders) also. The suspension will hopefully have had an upgrade and might feature upside-down forks, and it's also possible that the brakes may also be upgraded with latest spec Brembos on the front and Brembo (instead of Nissin) on the rear. What might be a good touch also would be for the machine to also have the Speed Triple dashboard.
However, we will have to wait for the 5th November at 8:30 am GMT for all to be revealed.
