Team Pitty's Custom Vinyls Racing was formed at the end of 2012 after purchasing the Triumph 675 Daytona from T3 Racing at the end of the 2011 Triumph Triple Challenge series, support series at BSB. The team are still running the same machine now, and busy preparing it for the 2018 season at Thundersport GB.
After attending 3 race meetings at the end of 2012 as a taster (Aintree, Thundersport GB at Mallory Park and Auto 66 at Cadwell Park), Nige made the decision to join Thundersport GB for the full season in 2013, competing in the Pre-National 600 class.
Nige has raced at Thundersport GB ever since, but also thrown in a few wildcard rides with other clubs such as Wirral 100 and No Limits in recent years.
In 2018 Nige and his team are looking forward to a season which has a slightly different line up of circuits. There will unfortunately be no visit to Rockingham motor speedway, and only one visit to Donington Park, but two visits to one of Nige’s favourite circuits, Cadwell Park, being a real bonus.
A typical race weekend consists of a full test day, followed by 2 race days (Oulton Park being the exception where only one race day is allowed due to noise restrictions). Race days consist of qualifying plus two races on the first day, and warm up plus two races on the second day.
Team Pittys welcome all TOMCC visitors at any race meeting, the kettle is always on and we love to share the experience of being part of a race team with anyone that wishes to join in.
Nige’s bike was featured on the TOMCC stand at Triumph live in 2014 when it was in its original black and white livery, which has since been replaced by the now familiar blue and white.
