The announcement comes ahead of the MotoGP British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The Moto2 engines come directly from the Street Triple 765 range and developments in racing have found their way into the retail models.
Running alongside the Moto2 Championship is the Triumph Triple Trophy. Triumph and Dorna run the Triumph Triple Trophy alongside the World Championship to recognise standout performance for each of the season’s rounds. The Triumph Triple Trophy points are rewarded to riders setting the fastest top speed, pole position and the fastest lap of the race. The rider who achieves the greatest number of points, at the end of the season, is crowned the winner and awarded a Triumph Street Triple 765 RS motorcycle which is powered by the 765cc triple engine from which the Moto2™ powerplant is derived.
