Motorcycle rider group, British Motorcycle Federation (BMF), has joined forces with Aero Legends and WWII Headcorn Aerodrome to launch an exciting new weekend event, Merlins and Motorbikes. Bike enthusiasts can expect an action packed experience at Merlins and Motorbikes, which is being held on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June 2016 at the Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent.
Those attending can expect to see bands and music, as well as more than 100 trade stalls which will sell everything from bike kit and helmets to clothing and sunglasses.
There will also be a bike jumble where visitors can pick up second hand parts, as well as a 'best in show' competition and several exhibitions available to experience.
Taking centre stage at "Merlins and Motorbikes" will be an aerial display from The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) in two Spitfires and the 'Great British Bike Off', a 1,200-metre drag race between a motorbike and the Aero Legends Spitfire TD314.
Jim Freeman, Chairman of the BMF, said: "We're delighted to be working with Aero Legends and WWII Headcorn Aerodrome to launch this exciting debut event, which is set to attract thousands of visitors over the weekend. The mix of classic motorcycles and vintage aircraft, combined with numerous other attractions, makes this a special event in the calendar. What could be more evocative than the lazy, effortless, thunder of a Merlin engine Spitfire over Kent?"
Both weekend camping and day tickets are available to buy from with discounts available for BMF members and affiliates and seniors.
