After the promise at the AGM in April to hold an EGM to present the Accounts, it has now been scheduled for the 9th October at the Birmingham & Wolves Club House
At the AGM in April the Club Committee took the decision to not put forward the current set of accounts to the members due to there being significant discrepancies in the figures. It was felt that the accounts did not represent the proper financial status of the Club for a number of reasons, not least of those being that the Regalia Stock had been valued incorrectly, specific items of expenditure had been wrapped up in the wrong headings, and invoices that should have been issued had not been issued. Mick Barratt, the new Treasurer, promised to work on the accounts and present them to the Club at a forthcoming Extraordinary General Meeting.
The EGM will be held on the 9th October 2016 at the 44 Club, Spring Road, Lanesfield, Wolverhampton, WV4 6LQ. Members are advised that they will be able to book in from 10:30 with the meeting itself starting promptly at 11:00. Admission to the meeting will require a valid TOMCC Membership Card to be shown. There will be a buffet-style lunch available for all those who attend. No agenda has been published yet but it will be in Nacelle closer to the date of the meeting.
As well as presenting and discussing the accounts, there is expected to be a statement regarding the claim in the August 2016 Nacelle that Triumph are attempting to stop the Club using its logo.
