It is the absolute pleasure of the new Club Committee to appoint Ken and Jan Talbot to the positions of Vice Presidents (subject to ratification at the next AGM) of the TOMCC. In their joint 15 years as Chairman and Secretary of the Club they have helped the Club to grow in size and stature. Thank you Ken and Jan.
Ken has ensured that the Club has retained its focus on providing the best possible service to members and has ably steered the Club through some challenging times. He has been a superb leader and figurehead for the Club. He has also been hands-on, organising many Club events and Club attendance at shows, and organising Club attendance at other major events such as the Factory's festivals. He has always been available to members with assistance and advice on Club and other matters. He partnered with other Birmingham and Wolverhampton members to create the Landmark Challenge that has now run for many years and is as popular as ever.
Jan has been far more than an effective Club Secretary. She has been the driving force and organiser of the Club's Trifest and other major events over many years. Whether organised by Jan or not, you'll see her working hard to ensure that the event is successful and that members are having a great time. She has also taken on several other roles to cover Club Committee vacancies as required, such as the Club's merchandising arrangements and procurement of merchandise.
Both have served in various Branch Committee positions in several Branches, latterly the Shropshire Branch, who they helped form and continue to serve as Treasurer and Chair respectively. Again, both have been the driving force behind the success of rallies and events run by their Branches, or have actively contributed to their success.
Their commitment to the Club extends over more than forty years. Their knowledge of the Club, its people and all things Triumph is matched by very few people. Long may they continue to serve the Club in their new capacity as Vice Presidents.
