After being presented with the Triumph-Harris Tweed Hebrides collaboration 'Dapper Bonnie' motorcycle at the 2017 DGR, Phil Green wanted it to be ridden from the Hebridean homeland of Harris Tweed to Hinckley in Leicestershire to promote the 2018 Distinguished Gentleman's Ride for Men's Health.
The one-of-a-kind bike is based on Triumph’s iconic Bonneville T100 and sports burnt orange custom paintwork, a Harris Tweed seat and a wide selection of Triumph aftermarket accessories.
Triumph presented the motorbike to cancer-survivor Phil Green following his participation in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR) last year and it was Phil’s wish that the bike made the journey from the homeland of Harris Tweed to the heartland of Triumph in order to publicise this year’s DGR.
The 'Dapper Bonnie DGR100' is currently making its way from The Hebrides to Leicestershire stopping at Triumph Glasgow on the 21st August with it’s route being filmed by Glasgow production company BLK29. Glasgow’s Triumph garage will play host to the motorbike and film crew as it passes through the city on Tuesday.
