Dover Transport Museum, based in the Whitfield area of Dover, are organising a Classic Motorcycle Show at the museum on Sunday the 12th May 2019. They have asked the TOMCC to help support the event in anyway we can - such as putting on stands or organising ride-outs (maybe even of 70 miles).
Branches would be welcome to put on a stand in order to publicise their Branch and the Club. Alternatively Branches could organise a ride-out to the event - and if it is 70 miles and you register it with the editor of Nacelle then it may well be eligible for the 70th Anniversary Ride of the TOMCC.
Dover Transport Museum is home to many forms of vintage transport and also features vintage shop fronts displaying the kind of items that were familiar to our young visitors' grandparents and great grandparents. With a large visitor operated model railway and a taxi & bus hunt for children, a visit to the museum makes a memorable family day out.
Two large exhibition halls house recreate street scenes of old Dover that will stir the memories of many older visitors and give younger ones a glimpse of how things used to be. They have a range of Historic Vehicles, a Vintage Garage and Motorcycle Shop, model railways, and other attractions.
Please contact Matt on matt.cooke@btinternet.com or 07940 762905 if you would like to put on a stand or help out in anyway.
