The Bonham's Summer Sale is taking place over three days in July and there are quite a few Triumph items up for auction in the 811 lots. Not all are motorcycles, there are also engines, projects, petrol tanks, and posters. However some of the Triumph motorcycles up for auction could be worth a bid or two.
The Model 5/5 shown above, however, isn't going to be one of those bargains. With an estimate of up to £12,500 this 1936 machine will probably meet that and then disappear into a private collection somewhere. Also not a bargain is a 1974 T150V with an estimate of up to £9,000.
What may be bargains are the various Tiger Cubs and Terrier with estimates of up to £2,000 - some with matching numbers. These don't have reserves so if few people bid for them you may well get a decent machine for not very much.
If you're into your Triumph Scooters then there's a Tigress up for auction with an estimate of £2,800 and no reserve.
There are also some matching-number 3TAs with no reserve and estimates up to £3,000 (and some up to £4,000).
Projects wise there is a T110 with an estimate of £800. There are also various engines, petrol tanks, and other parts being sold as lots.
Star of the auction? Triumph wise that is. We think it has to be the Daytona Super III - but that could go above its estimate of £4,500.
The auction is taking place from the 2nd to the 4th July 2021 at the Staffordshire County Showground.
