Is this a first look at what the collaboration with Bajaj is going to produce? MotoBob seems to think so and has produced a 5 minute video about it. The shots show Triumph components and a very Triumph like engine - well the triangle is there for all to see. Watch the video for the 7 things you need to know.
The photo is from the UK and the bike was registered in the Birmingham area. The engine is liquid cooled and looks like a Bonneville engine, but is only a single and is probably a 350cc to 500cc machine. The seat height doesn't look that high so it's aimed more at the road. It might be more of a budget model but it does have USD forks and a mono-shock on the rear, plus brakes probably by Brembo sub-brand Bybre. Tyres look like they could handle a bit of off-road but the cast wheels mean it won't be a lot. There are a lot of rough-edges but this is definitely a prototype road-test model so you can't take too much notice of the styling from it.
Now, MotoBob seems to have the ear of Triumph at the moment, so we suspect that these photos were 'leaked' by Triumph to generate and gauge interest. It is fairly obvious that the place where the Triumph logo would go on the engine had been taped up and that the tape had been removed... deliberately? I'm sure Triumph are monitoring Social Media for comments - so what do you think of it?
