We are sad to announce that Harry Woolridge, a Club Vice President and ex-Triumph Meriden employee, has passed away. Best known for his 'Bible' books on the Trophy, and the Speed Twin and Thunderbird, Harry was a quiet person but was always ready to help out a fellow Triumph Owner with technical questions.
Harry worked at Triumph for over thirty years. He started as a fitter in the Service Department before moving to the Experimental Department. Later he was promoted to Foreman of Final Assembly, and eventually was made Warranty/Service Manager for the Meriden Cooperative until 1983.
Harry was a keen motorcyclist competing in trials and scrambles until 1982. He went on to work with Les Williams and Arthur Jakeman, helping to produce the Legend and Buccaneer.
Harry's wealth of Triumph knowledge has been a great help to many over the years. He will be sorely missed.
