Just over a month since releasing the teaser trailer, Triumph have finally launched their Speed Twin model - though prices won't be released until the 18th January. The bike has a better chassis than the Thruxton R, improved suspension, better brakes (Brembo) on the front, and twin clocks rather than TFT.
The Bonneville Speed Twin was unveiled on the 4th December 2019 at an event in Paris. The machine is being positioned as a Modern Classic Roadster with higher performance over the other Bonneville models. It adds yet another model to their signature line up of Modern Classic machines, will there be room for them all in the future market?
It is expected that the new model will hit the dealers in April and will be around the £11,000 (€13,000, $14,000) mark. Dealers are already taking orders.
The 1200cc Speed Twin re-introduces an illustrious name to our modern classics line-up, with an exciting all-new motorbike that delivers next generation modern custom capability and timeless Triumph DNA together with advanced rider technology and cutting edge roadster performance and feel. Designed to deliver a whole new standard in dynamic riding capability the Speed Twin, with its enhanced chassis setup, accessible riding position, advanced braking ability, high specification suspension, and thrilling power delivery, truly justifies its position as Triumph’s new performance icon.
