Triumph Motorcycles are delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership with James Toseland as Triumph Moto2TM racing ambassador. James is delighted to represent Triumph Motorcycles and help to raise the profile of our brand around the world. This was announced at EICMA on Thursday.
A video with James and Miles Perkins appeared shortly after the announcement (link below) and Triumph are hoping to capitalise on their partnership with DORNA to supply Moto2 engines for the 2019 Moto2 Championship.
James had ridden the 600cc machines (such as the TT600) 20 years ago, but having ridden the new 765cc Moto2 machine around Silverstone (in the rain) he was impressed at how different and advanced it was.
The machines are rumoured to be a second quicker around the track than the outgoing Honda powered units.
James will be riding the Moto2 machine around Valencia doing a couple of parade laps to show off the new machine - hopefully in the dry this time unlike at Silverstone.
