For the last 11 years, Tridays has been organised as a joint event between the town of Newchurch in Austria and Triumph. That joint operation has now ended with both parties going their separate ways though there will still be an event at Newchurch in 2017.
The message on the event's new website says that after discussions with Triumph it was decided that the Newchurch Tourist Office and Triumph will not be holding a joint 'Tridays' event in 2017. The town will still be holding an event and are calling it Club of Newchurch.
The indications are that the new event will be different to the previous Tridays style events with more focus on the young customiser scene and allowing other makes of motorcycle into the event. The dates for the new event are the 11th - 18th June 2017.
Triumph come away from this owning the Tridays name, which they have done since June 2007. The Trade Mark is up for renewal in June 2017. It is envisaged that Triumph will use the Tridays name for an event more focussed on the current models and direction that the company are taking.
