TOMCC Merchandise change of Supplier
The TOMCC are currently in the process of changing their supplier of Merchandise. At the moment it is possible to order TOMCC branded clothing from a temporary website that the new supplier has set up. It is also possible to order Badges and other Accessories from another temporary website.
Club Rules and Handbook Updated
Following on from the 2017 AGM, both the TOMCC Club Rules and the TOMCC Club Handbook have been updated to reflect what was voted through. You can access the Club Rules and Handbook at any time by going to the 'About the Club' menu item under 'The Club'. The handbook is especially useful.
New model profile added
A new profile has been added to the list of Triumph motorcycle models on this site: The Daytona 675R (2011-2012). With the 'R' indicating a 'Racing' spec, the Daytona 675R was an upgraded version of the successful Daytona 675 aimed at the younger track-day oriented riders.
Surrey Branch Bike Show - 17th June
If you find yourself around the Surrey area and fancy a bite to eat and some nice machines to look at - plus a warm welcome too - then you could do worse than visiting the Surrey Branch for their Annual Bike Show and Barbecue. You could even have some afternoon tea if that's your thing.
Peter Hickman Third in Monday's TT Supersport
Riding on the very distinctive 'Trooper' Daytona 675, Peter Hickman managed to achieve a podium finish in third place at the Isle of Man TT 2017's Supersport Race 1. This is an exceptional achievement considering Triumph aren't producing the machine anymore and have sold off all the racing spares.
Triumph Confirm Moto2 Engine Supply
Despite all the hype earlier in the year, Triumph and Dorna kept very quiet about the rumours surrounding the Moto2 Engine contract. Even Colin Edwards commenting on MotoGP had expressed frustration at not hearing anything. Well this morning Triumph have released details of the deal.
Triumph Sell Off Race Parts Stock
It was always going to be the case, after Triumph dropped the only Sports model from their line-up - the all conquering Daytona 675 - that they would also quit the racing scene. That has been fully confirmed today as Triumph have taken the decision to sell off their remaining stock of race parts.
Bikes at the Bay event
...are looking for branches/Clubs to put on Club stands. The event is being held at Sandwich Showground, Kent, on the 12th to the 13th August 2017. If you are interested in putting on a Club stand then get in touch with the organisers who will send you a booking form (only camping to pay).
Triumphs at the IoM TT
Despite Triumph not producing the Daytona 675R any more, there seem to be quite a few still being used in racing circles. The 2017 Isle of Man TT Supersport races feature several entries on Triumphs, Gary Johnson and Peter Hickman to name but two and Gary has won on Triumph machinery in the past.
