Quail M/C Gathering Celebrates 50 years of the Daytona
It's been 50 years since the Triumph Daytona was made available to the public and Gary Nixon won the Daytona 200 race on a Triumph Daytona. Among world-wide events celebrating the anniversary is the Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel, California, USA being held on the 6th May from 10:00 to 13:00.
Classic Triumphs in February Auction
The Classic Vehicle auctioneers H and H are holding their first motorcycle auction of the year on the 22nd February at the Donington Park Race Circuit at Castle Donington, Derby, Derbyshire, DE74 2RP and amongst the motorcycles up for auction are four rather nice Triumphs.
New model profile added
A new profile has been added to the list of Triumph motorcycle models on this site: The Daytona T100D (1973). In August of 1973 Triumph started pre-production on the successor to the T100R Daytona, the T100D - D being 'Disc' or 'Development' or 'Daytona' depending on who you talk to.
We Ride London's First Meeting
The We Ride London group, campaigning for less charges and more encouragement for motorcyclists to use their bikes in London, are holding their first ever campaign meeting on the 21st February at The Bike Shed in London. All bikers are welcome to go along to help shape the campaign.
New Street Triple UK Prices Announced
We already knew that the base 765cc model Street Triple S was available from £8,000, but now Triumph have announced the prices for the other models. The 660cc Street Triple A2 Licence version is the cheapest at £7,700 which should encourage a lot of younger riders.

Friday and Saturday Celebrity Q&As at Excel Show
Are you going to the MCN London Motorcycle Show at the Excel in London? If so then you may want to choose to go on the Friday or Saturday if you want to meet either Carl Fogarty or Charlie Boorman - they will both be there at the Triumph stand (only Charlie on the Friday).

White Helmets display team Axed
They've been entertaining and thrilling crowds with their dazzling arena displays for the last 90 years and are always a favourite at shows. However that hasn't stopped the iconic ‘White Helmets’ the Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team from being axed from the British Army.
