Triumph Birmingham to Close

It has been announced today (5th December 2017) that Triumph Birmingham will be closing their doors at the end of the year. In a statement on their Facebook page, Triumph Birmingham made the announcement and quoted owner Chris Booth as saying that it was due to being unable to find suitable premises.

TOMCC Stand at Motorcycle Live 2017 a Success

Following on from their successful stand at last year's Motorcycle Live, the TOMCC are again exhibiting at the event at the NEC in Birmingham (UK). They are hoping to match last year's success and all the indications are that they will do so with the stand being busy from opening time on the Saturday.

They have a range of publications on sale about classic Triumphs - manuals, reference, history. They also have a couple of reference books on modernish Daytonas (pre-675).

1962 6T Triton and classic Triumphs at Auction

December the 9th (2017) may be your lucky day. There are a number of Triumphs coming up for auction at the National Motorcycle Museum and all it takes to own one is to bid higher than everyone else. Pride of place is a 1962 Triton with a Thunderbird 6T engine, but there are Bonnies there too.

Triumph at EICMA 2017

EICMA is the Exposizione Internazionale Ciclo & Motociclo and is held in Milan, Italy. This year it is on from the 9th November until the 12th November so it is certainly not as big as the NEC show, but it does tend to attract a lot of releases of new machines. As you would expect, Triumph have a stand there.

New Tiger 1200 and 800 models announced

Triumph have today (7th November 2017) released details of their new Tiger range. There will now be both a 1200cc and an 800cc range. The 1200cc version features a shaft drive whereas the 800cc version retains a chain drive. Some of the innovations are adaptive cornering lighting and keyless ignition.

Triumph Transform the Tiger

Triumph are announcing a new Tiger on the 7th November. They have put out a teaser video under the heading 'Triple Technology Transformed' hinting that the new Tiger will feature a new Triple engine and new Tiger Technology. This has been timed beautifully for a launch at the UK NEC Motorcycle Show.
